Album
"Emotional Rescue" is the fifteenth studio album by the English rock band the Rolling Stones, released on 23 June 1980 through Rolling Stones Records. The album follows the commercial success of "Some Girls" (1978) and continues its blend of rock, blues, punk, and disco influences. Upon release, "Emotional Rescue" reached number one in at least six countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. The title track was a chart success, reaching number one in Canada, number three in the United States, and number nine in the UK. Another single, "She's So Cold," achieved top-40 status in multiple countries. Recording sessions for the album were highly productive, and several tracks that were not included on "Emotional Rescue" later formed the core of the band's follow-up album, "Tattoo You" (1981).
