TV BUDDHAS releases their follow-up to self-titled EP on Trost Records in autumn 2010: Their second full length album „Dying at the Party“. TV BUDDHAS are actually from Tel Aviv, Israel, but they've currently decided to move their musical mayhem to Berlin. They play around 200 (!!) live shows all over Europe and in the U.S. every year – just like their musical heroes would dare them to do. Those heroes include the likes of Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers, Iggy & The Stooges, Velvet Underground and The Ramones. The latter also gave the band their credo, which they truly honor: Us against the world. Keeping that in mind it makes perfect sense that TV BUDDHAS not only share strong musical ties. Singer and guitarist Juval Haring and drummer Mickey Priest recently got married. Mickey gave the band a very special wedding gift: her brother Uri is playing guitar in the band since this year. The three musicians woo their audience with a real thunderstorm made out of wild garage rock and dashes of punk and rock. A minimalistic drumset, repetitive chords and Juval's bluesy vocals are the main ingredients of their unique sound. On „Dying at the Party“ the power trio celebrates their self-imposed outsiderness. They take a stand against hipster fashion and too-cool-for-school rock gestures. Instead they pack their songs with everyday stuff and stay deliberatly anti-cool. Humor and seriousness have the same weight in their on-the-spot songs. Including pretty ambigious lyrics. TV
