Departures is a precursor to a series of three different albums to come, each of them having the color of their own. It represents the act of leaving, some place, whether physically or spiritually, onto a journey of exploring a multitude of different directions. Two of these albums are mostly finished, they just need the proper production in order for them to represent the type of material they're carrying, and given that I currently have a huge college year ahead of me, I'll be preocuppied with enough stuff already (didn't mean for that to rhyme). The album carries different styles, or different approaches in recording, to be accurate, and one track with my vocals through autotune with many layers of harmony. I'm not really comfortable putting my voice on an album, aside from the fact that I'm pretty much an inadequate when it comes to singing, I also don't like it. But, I had to come out of my comfort zone, sooner or later, and I had to express some sort of idea and or melody that was stuck in my head, which I couldn't arrticulate with a musical-instrument. I'm pretty sure I still didn't get the hang of recording and producing my own material yet, but as you can see, there's a learning curve through every record, and I appreciate that.
