July 2009 saw ROF spend 9 days with producer Chris Gray at Graylabel studio to record "Consequence", the debut release which encapsulates the theme of decision making and the consequences behind those decisions through the EP artwork, but more importantly the lyrics that feature in the five tracks that is Consequence. With this recording ROF were aiming for and have achieved a warm classic "big earthy" sound through the use of older production consoles and steering away from studio trickery by effecting the music without lots of fx. The five tracks featured give an excellent insight to ROF's musical and songwriting ability, it also demonstrates the bands versatility and range in rock styles from the harder edged "Self Centred" with it's haunting verses and powerful driving chorus' Self Centred is an enigmatic and emotionally compelling story portrayed with pure angst and grunge. Through to "Fingers Turn Blue", the radio friendly ballad with classic structure and based around a piano foundation.
