Commonplace is the sixth album by Every Little Thing released on March 3, 2004. It sold 313,647 copies and reached #1 on the Oricon charts. Two versions have been released, one with the music CD only, and the other with a DVD. The album contains mainly soft rock and acoustic-like tunes, and a few rockish tunes as well. Ichirō Itō played guitar in all the songs, and also participated in the arrangements and compositions of some of them. All the lyrics were written by Kaori Mochida, but received help on track 5 "country road", which was ELT's first song that was completely in English. The DVD contains behind the scenes shots at the album photoshoot, and also a special performance of ELT's classic single "Time goes by".
