CollXtion II is the debut studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter Allie X, released on June 9, 2017. Serving as her first full-length record and second overall project, the album expands upon the conceptual and aesthetic foundations introduced in her 2015 extended play, CollXtion I. Conceptually, CollXtion II is structured as a fragmented self-portrait. Allie X has described each track as representing a different piece of her identity, blurring the line between dreams, fantasy and personal reality. Rather than presenting a linear narrative, the album functions as an emotional archive, capturing impulses, contradictions and unresolved traits that coexist within her. Lyrically, the record explores themes of obsession, emotional dependency, self-destruction and romantic disillusionment. Songs such as “Paper Love” reflect a period of impulsive behavior and unhealthy relationships, particularly with partners who mirrored her own volatility at the time.
