Title: Breathe in Deep is taken directly from a line in the third song, Sniv and the Burden. Much of this album had been written in Barber's basement, hence the cover has a puff of smoke on it. Recording: The EP was recorded over two days in May of 2007. While it contains only three songs, it is actually approximately three minutes longer than the only other three song EP the band has released, A New Agenda. It was recorded at Machinehead Studios in Toronto, and was actually never mastered properly. Due to time constraints, the band decided that they would rather have three songs that sounded tight, despite not being mastered, than three songs with sub-par instrumentation but mastered decently. Meaning: The lyrics were a little more vague as to their meanings than the previous record (which had more political references and meanings). The lyrics for It's Not the Last Time and White Little Lies were both written by Barber and are about a friend of his who basically runs a hostel and an anonymous person who has a problem with cocaine respectively, while Sniv and the Burden was written by Johnny, which is about an internal struggle within a person's mind about decisions. Other Interesting Info: - "Sniv" is a reference to Sniveler, a character Johnny played in a play (alongside Mike and Russ, who were both other characters) - The CD is referenced by the band as Breathe in Deep and the Jiguano EP, the latter being an inside joke, in which the band would tell people they're sell
