’Alternative Structures’ is a collection of compositions by Calum Marshall which were recorded at Black Market Sound Studio, between 1992 & 1993 & and range from Weather Report type influences using more traditional 70’s instruments, to more modern electronica synthesiser pieces. The musicians heard on the 'Alternative Structures' recordings were pulled together by Cal (Keyboards), and vary depending on the track. These Include: George Falconer (Drums & Percussion), John Longbotham (Sax), Ian Middleton (Fretless Bass), Drew Welsh (Electric Bass on “The Peking Diner”) & Peter Watson (Electric Guitar on “The Peking Diner”). The Jazz Prophets broke up as a result of one of the band members becoming unwell. Original compositions by Calum Marshall unless otherwise stated.
