Playboi Carti would randomly take to YouTube to release “2024”, a previously unheard track with an accompanying music video. Presumed to be the lead single for his upcoming album, MUSIC, it released just days after “DIFFERENT DAY” was shown on Instagram. The track begins with Carti’s signature ‘baby voice‘ before making a sudden switch to his newer ‘deep voice’ style halfway through, first officially previewed in Travis Scott’s “FE!N (feat. Playboi Carti)”. “2024” was produced by ojivolta, earlonthebeat, and Kanye West, with the single title leading many to assume an album release date of January 2024.
