Album
Die Lit is the debut studio album by the American rapper Playboi Carti, released on May 11, 2018, through AWGE Label and Interscope Records, following his successful summer debut self-titled mixtape. The album was announced by Carti on Twitter the night before it's release. This album contains features such as Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert and Travis Scott. Most of the songs were leaked around 10 days before the album release. β++* love hurts **+β was later released as an official single with a more simple title. The album is largely produced by a frequent collaborator of Carti's, Pi'erre Bourne. The cover art for Die Lit was shot by Nick Walker, who wanted to recreate the photo of an old punk rock concert to match the album's aesthetic. Die Lit is considered an album that changed the trap production style and still a big influence to others hip-hop/rap artists. The album debuted at No. 3 on the US Billboard 200, and Shoota debuted at No. 46 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
