Siinamota's Young Girl A was one of many tracks that remained lodged in obscurity for quite sometime. The Vocaloid genre in the 2010s had already been booming for a while, thanks to memes, Project Diva and otaku culture. Considered by many to be his magnum opus, Young Girl A exploded in popularity during the 2020s and in the process, redefined and reintroduced Gen Z to synthesized j-rock. As the pandemic notably increased depression amongst youth, many looked towards music of a slightly older era for comfort and expression.
