The song was revealed by the singer herself through an Instagram Stories update on September 5th, 2019. Later on, Charlotte took the stage of The Independent magazine’s “Music Box” series to perform this exclusive track along with two others, “Why Do You Love Me” and “Navy Blue.” Before the announcement of her EP, Charlotte hinted that the song would be her second single off the project on Instagram story when reposting a fans story and adding the caption: "you is the second one which will make sense in a day or two”
