“Worship You” is a direct message to God. Although the lyrics are hard to understand with Ezra’s fast-paced vocals, it’s clear to see while reading them it’s an affirmation and criticism of what (likely the Christian) God would want. On the website Grantland, Steven Hyden noted the reference in “Worship You” to Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds' “Red Right Hand” (a reference friends-of-VW Harlem Shakes used as well). All of them get it from a line about God’s vengeance in Paradise Lost.
