Gira would do anything he could to keep his partner with him, no matter how inane or far-fetched that task is. He wants their relationship to last through tomorrow. The woman’s voice is subtle and weak, which makes her cries “sweet”. Swallowing a black rose is a symbol for suicide. Gira’s lover will be dreaming in solitude because she took her own life, and stuck inside those dreams eternally. Gira can’t taste the tears of his now deceased partner because she is gone from him.
