According to the Wild At Heart Songfacts, when Taylor Swift heard the song she invited the quartet to open on her Fearless 2009 tour. The exposure helped break them into the charts. The song was co-written by Grammy Award winning producer Matt Serletic along with Josh Kear and Stephanie Bentley. Serletic also produced the track.
