It was the first glimpse his fans got of the project, as Trippie previewed it in an Instagram post on September 1, 2019, one day after the album’s announcement. Thematically, the song is about Trippie not wanting to chase love after his past relationships. Trippie has discussed this theme before, most notably on his breakout hit “Love Scars,” and his XXXTENTACION collaboration, “Fuck Love.”
