When You're On Top is the first single from The Wallflowers fourth album, 2002's Red Letter Days. It reached #1 on the Triple A Billboard chart, and was a top-40 hit on Billboard's Adult Top 40 chart. The accompanying music video was directed by Marc Webb. The band performed the song on a number of TV appearances, including: The GQ Awards, The Tonight Show with David Letterman, Last Call with Carson Daly, and as part of two special live concerts
