This is sort of the Unofficial Anthem of the Lone Star Republic. We are the only state in the US allowed to fly our state flag level with the American Flag. The last line "you ask me....but that would take me all night long" is the understatement of the millenium. I have heard conversation literally go on for days between drunk Texans, including me, holding forth about what we love about our great state.
