"Waves" is the second single from American boy band Big Time Rush's fourth studio album, Another Life. It was released on May 3, 2023 as the second official single in the US. The track was written by Kendall Schmidt and Logan Henderson alongside Tyler Shamy and Will Ventres, the latter of whom produced the track. The band described the track as a nostalgic take on the 2000's boy band era. The initial concept for "Waves" started with an impromptu idea by Henderson.
