"Wasteland" shows the more mature side of Seven Degrees Below, production wise. They move into the sound of Americana with their soulful use of organ and harmonica, combined with their distinctive indie pop/rock sound. Wasteland is written and composed by vocalist and guitarist Niklas Nesset. The single was recorded in Brygga Studio, Trondheim, mid summer 2013. Produced by Pål Brekkås, who the band had worked with on their debut single "Proud".
