Based on a true story when, at a show in Detroit, a mother approached Aaron stating her son had committed suicide and asking Aaron for answers. He didn’t have any, and, as the song suggests, he felt she should have had them already. Aaron stated, as he was writing the lyrics, when he was nearing the end, he became angry.
