“Wanted To Be” is a track by Dro Kenji featured on his second EP with Internet Money. Kenji describes being attached in a relationship with a women who considers him not good enough, despite him trying his best. The pre-chorus also displays his rise to fame in lines such as “I’m higher than an astronaut, I’m way too far to go back home”. The instrumental was produced around Kenji’s acapella by Nick Mira on his Twitch livestream, “Nick @ Nite”. This created hype for the track long before its release.
