Valerie is the fourth song off of Broadcast's 2003 album Haha Sound. It takes its melody from and references the 1970 surrealist-horror Czechoslovakian film ‘Valerie a týden divů’ (Valerie and Her Week of Wonders), a movie that the band has stated before as a major inspiration for Broadcast.
