One of the shorter songs on Doris, “Uncle Al” was produced by Earl himself under his RandomBlackDude moniker. Prolific producer The Alchemist has claimed on Twitter that he actually produced the track, hence the name. According to an NPR interview with Earl, he confirmed that Alchemist did produce the track and was even supposed to have a verse on the song. The lyrics are exemplary of Earl’s broken syntax- most of the lines do not use proper grammar and are very uniquely placed much like a lot of his wordplay on the album.
