“Triumph” could be about XXXTENTACION’s baby mama, Jenesis Sanchez. X and Jen met through a mutual friend at a party. They started dating in January of 2018 but the couple knew each other for some years prior. In February 2018, Sanchez moved from her home in Tampa to Parkland, in order to be closer to her boyfriend. Their baby, Gekyume, was born in January of 2019, seven months after X passed away. In the song, X talks about how he was sad before meeting the woman he fell in love with, Jenesis Sanchez.
