Time Passes By by Maeran is reminiscent of music by Magna Carta...so said the folkies at Woven Wheat Whispers which has sadly, recently closed for business. I can't say I ever heard Magna Carta, but this is certainly a very lyrical, moody and evocative composition with a rather bleak message within its verses. The song is by Dominic Ward and Stephen Wilson and is recorded on the Homeward88 label. It is the first track on the albumn Hollyhocks and Hedgerows and offers an interesting insight into the duo's extensive ability as songwriters.
