Vanity Inc was originally formed in 2006 under the name of PlayGirlz. Due to copyright concerns the band name was changed to Vanity Inc in 2009. The band was formed by a fine artist Lex Lumiere and a Musician, Danie. The unlikely pair met when Lex went on a business trip to Madison, Wi. She was originally from Houston, Texas but after working with the Red Cross Relief team to help with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina she needed a change of pace and moved to New York.
