“Through the Dark” is the eleventh track in One Direction’s third album, Midnight Memories. The song is about being there for the one you love, no matter how bad things are, and helping them find a way out. The song was performed on the Where We Are Tour and the On The Road Again Tour. It is a folk song with elements of pop and rock. Lyrically, it depicts a man trying to help someone important to him through their depression and emotional pain.
