The Trickster was released on the My Iron Lung EP in September of 1994. It is the second track on the My Iron Lung EP, and the first B-side of The Bends era. The song was first played live in February of 1994 at a concert where they were testing upcoming material for their new album. While the song sounds very similar here, it features completely different lyrics than what the final version has. The song wouldn't be played live again until October of 1997
