Torquil Campbell: "Do you know E=MC2 by Big Audio Dynamite? When the band started playing that music, it evoked E=MC2 for me, which was a big, big song for me. It was Mick Jones’ band after the Clash, Big Audio Dynamite. A lot of what I do starts as a ripoff, and then the ripoff is so bad, it’s unrecognizable as a ripoff, and that was one of those songs. I just heard that steady rhythm, and I wanted to do a vocal that was lots of words and kind of disjointed and slightly abstract and not on the nose
