It is currently the band's second highest charting single in the UK, peaking at number 15 (behind “If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know)” which peaked at 14). Rolling Stone named "The Sound" one of the 30 best songs of the first half of 2016. The song peaked at #103 on Billboard's US charts.
