Following “Red Velvet Wound”, “The Sound” opens up the “Copper” half of “Soundtracks for the Blind” as another opus the album has to offer. The song can be seen as the second “Helpless Child” (featured on the “Silver” side of the album) as they both share similiar lyrical themes of parental abuse and both feature an amazing building instrumental section.
