This song is about the pride and the woes of being a social outcast, in some senses out of choice or necessity. How the person is out of time with the humans but with the natural world feels a complete connection The outcast is a mix of old english folk with its shared common ''drone'' sound like more eastern music. The majority of the outro solo is played on a flute, with heavy distortion effect on the microphone. The chanting is in part homage to the mantras of old and the American Indians.
