“The Other“ is the debut single by American pop artist Lauv, released on March 31, 2015. The track would also appear on his debut studio album I met you when I was 18. (the playlist). Lauv said in an interview with NYULocal “I was working with Michael Matosic, and there was one night when I was feeling emotional about my break up. Most of the lyrics just fell out for that. I wrote it on the acoustic guitar originally, back before I even had thought of the idea of Lauv.
