The track is named after Lisbon Maru, a Japanese PWO transport from WWII which sank and took the lives of over 800 men. Band member Benjamin John Power's grandfather was a POW on the ship, though he did survive the torpedoing of it. From lisbonmaru.com: On October 1st 1942, the American submarine Grouper fired six torpedoes at a Japanese troop transport, the Lisbon Maru, off Shanghai. Five of the unreliable Mk 14 fish either passed under the target or failed to detonate, but one exploded against the stern, bringing the ship to a standstill.
