“The First One” is a song by the American musician Gary Valentine. Gary wrote the song during his time in the band Blondie. The song was never officially recorded and released by Blondie and only performed in concerts. Gary Valentine recorded and released his own version of the song in 1978 after leaving Blondie and before forming his band The Know.
