“Tell Your Friends” was first performed at a Japanese music festival Popspring in March 2018, and was the only previously unheard song to be performed in his set. It’s the first track where we hear Payne showing his rapping skills, even though he had previously teased it throughout multiple interviews. Lyrically, “Tell Your Friends” is about Liam feeling the need to encourage his love interest to ignore the negative opinions of the people around them and instead be proud of their relationship.
