I wrote this song about the things I was feeling the week I moved out of my dad’s house, for the final time in March 2013, and I moved in with Ryan [Knowles, Capsize guitarist] to try and really pursue the band. At that time, I was told some really hurtful things by my dad and felt really doubted by someone who was supposed to be my main support system. My dad was going through his own things that gave our living situation an overall negative vibe towards the end of it, which made leaving that much more intense.
