“Tambourine Dream” is a short intro track, featuring solely the tambourine being played by Mac. Tambourine can be heard in much of Mac’s music around this era, including both of his 2014 projects: Balloonerism and Faces. In a Twitch stream the week after Balloonerism’s release, engineer Josh Berg revealed that it was always the same tambourine being used in Mac’s music, and that the tambourine had its own makeshift stand inside of the studio.
