“Take Care”, bookends Teen Dream with what seems like promises to her younger self, and the listener: “I’d take care of you” she sings like a nightingale taking flight. The song was ripped off in a Volkswagen ad: after Beach House refused to license the song, a German company hired Sniffy Dog to create a similar song. The song has also been played in an episode of New Girl (S1 E15), The Good Doctor (S1 E2), 13 Reasons Why (S4 E10) and Chemical Hearts.
