The name is possibly an homage to one of the most critically acclaimed PlayStation games Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Like much of DragonForce’s music, this song was influenced by video game music: "We’ve done some classical stuff on the guitar before but never with the vocals in the whole song arrangement; this is inspired by a lot of Japanese music and Japanese video games."
