Sutphin Boulevard is a song by British-American musician Blood Orange, the stage name of Devonté Hynes. It is the second track and lead single from his debut solo album Coastal Grooves, released on August 30, 2011, via Domino Recording Co. Background and Release Sutphin Boulevard was issued as a promotional single preceding Coastal Grooves. Its music video, directed by Alan Del Rio Ortiz, features Hynes performing in 1980s–inspired New York, alongside performance footage and drag visuals, reflecting the album’s aesthetic.
