Funnily enough, “Surrogate 2” appears on Soundtracks for the Blind much before its supposed predecessor, “Surrogate Drone”. The two tracks share very similar structures: “Surrogate 2” is made up of a constant, steady drone, with little interjected synths and tape-loops here or there, eventually devolving into a noisy, sampled loop that segues in the next track, “How They Suffer.”
