Track 5 on Slipknot’s self-titled debut. Much like the other songs on the album, it discusses misanthropy and hatred. When played live, it is announced as “your new national anthem.” Surfacing is one of Corey’s favorite song. According to this video, Corey says that if he were a wrestler, this would be his entrance music. The song appeared on Antennas to Hell and the live releases Disasterpieces, 9.0: Live, (sic)nesses, and Live at Dynamo 6.
