Superstar is a split single by the band Sonic Youth along with several others, depending on the version of the release. It belongs to the tribute album to The Carpenters entitled If I Were a Carpenter, released in September 1994 by the A&M Records label. Side A includes the Superstar theme, while Side B, depending on the song, may contain: "Yesterday Once More" by Redd Kross, The Carpenters' version of "Superstar", "For All We Know" by Bettie Serveert, or "Let me be the one" by Matthew Sweet.
