It was released in August 1984 and peaked at #7 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, #4 on the U.S. Cash Box charts, and #7 in Canada. "Strut" was written by singer/songwriter Charlie Dore. Billboard Magazine ranked "Strut" as the 46th biggest hit of 1985 in the United States.
