“Strings” serves as the third single from iann dior’s late-2019 album, Industry Plant. The track marks the first collaboration between iann and Georgia rapper Gunna. On the track, the duo discuss their response to partners who switch on them and ultimately “pull on strings.” The song first surfaced on an Instagram story on September 22, 2019. It was officially announced exactly one month later on October 22 via Twitter: "Strings Feat. @1GunnaGunna DROPS FRIDAY DIOR GANG EATING THIS WEEK!"
