I first heard this song in the mid 90's when I was a radio DJ on Pirate FM here in Wellington New Zealand. Up to that point I have never heard slide guitar executed in quite that way and I doubt that anyone will ever be able to recreate it accurately. Dave Hole's Stormy Seas is an inigma. Very few people that I am aquainted with own a copy of this song or a copy of the album Working Overtime. It is in this way that I find Dave Hole to be an intergle part of this genre of music and quite possibly a living ledgend.
