"Stay the Night" is the lead single from English singer-songwriter James Blunt's third studio album, Some Kind of Trouble. Blunt teamed up with American songwriters Ryan Tedder and Steve Robson to pen the track. According to the Stay The Night Songfacts, it marked the first time Blunt has written with two other songwriters in the same room or started a song from scratch. The single received an exclusive advance-release in Austria on September 10, 2010. The single was released on October 25, 2010.
