Stay is an emotional track with strong vocals, but not very many hidden meanings. As can be told from the title, it is about the lead singer (Remington) begging a significant other to not leave him. It is one of the few songs on the album that doesn't fit the album theme and feels out of place, adding to the songs character, as Remington feels out of place without his significant other.
